Our Professional
Philosophy
No form letters
We  believe every agency
submission should be a positive
experience. For that reason, we
never respond to any manuscript
with a form letter. Each submission
is carefully read and evaluated, and
every author receives a detailed
evaluation. We'll let you know
your strong points, and what needs
polishing.
A Working Partnership
Links
Our clients are always involved in
the decision-making processes at
Talcott Notch. We confer with our
authors concerning submissions,
and develop a career plan with
them, keeping in mind the
long-term goals the author has.

Clients are kept aware at all times
of the status of their manuscripts,
and are updated regularly on new
submissions and editors' comments.
And because we limit the number
of authors we work with, you'll
never feel  you're lost in a crowd.

Agency Background
Submission Policy

Please query first, with full outline
or synopsis, and include SASE.
Queries are accepted by email at:
editorial@talcottnotch.net.

Please do not include attachments
with your email. Queries may also
be mailed to:

Agent Services Division
'Talcott Notch Literary Services

Milford, Ct 06461

At times, our query volume can be
enormous. We make every effort to
reply to each letter personally, but
often receive far more
correspondence than we can read
and respond to in a day. If more
than 4 weeks have passed since you
sent us your query, please email us
and we'll try to get you a reply
ASAP.

Requested manuscripts must be
submitted in hard copy unless
otherwise specified.

Do not submit unsolicited work.
Include proper-sized SASE for our
response. Do not include loose
stamps or dated, metered postage.

We prefer that authors not use
shipping methods requiring a
signature at our end.  This
interrupts our work day and at
times requires a staff member to
pick up the material. If you wish,
you can send material using
delivery confirmation, or  with the
signature requirement waived on a
method that allows tracking and
confirmation of receipt.

We're responsive to
your needs

We know your time is valuable.
That's why we strive to keep our
response time fast. In most cases,
you'll have an answer within six
weeks of submitting your work. In
some cases, a project may require
several reads, and thus, may take a
little longer for a final answer. You
may inquire about your work at any
time by emailing us at:
